This spring, your child will participate in the state’s standardized assessments in core subject areas. Throughout the school year, students have been demonstrating their understanding of the South Carolina content standards, and these assessments provide another opportunity for them to showcase what they have learned. The assessments will be administered online using iPads.

Online registration for the 2026-27 school year opens Friday, April 3, 2026, for the Darlington County School District (DCSD). Guided by its commitment to each child, every day, DCSD is ready to welcome the next class of students. Families can register now to take advantage of the district’s strong academic programs and opportunities. Space is still available in the district’s 4K and 5K programs, offering young learners a strong start in DCSD.

Schools vary when it comes to car and bus dismissal times due to location and transportation routes. Each school will share its specific car and bus arrival and dismissal times with parents.

The Darlington County Board of Education recently updated some portions of the district's dress code. Please take some time to read through the policies if you have any questions regarding the districtwide dress code.
